Maintenance on the prowl. A member of insured's maintenance staff allegedly accosted the claimant's wife in her apartment and solicited sex. He allegedly grabbed her, kissed her and pinned her to the wall. He also allegedly threatened the claimant's husband when the husband registered a complaint with the insured. The insured ended up evicting claimants when the claimant's husband threatened the maintenance man with a gun. The couple is now suing the insured for failure to renew lease because of complaints about sexual harassment. The case is still pending. |

| It wasn't me; it was the kids. The plaintiffs are an African American couple with two minor children. They were evicted because of the unruly behavior of their children. Plaintiffs sued alleging, in addition to racial discrimination, that they were subjected to familial discrimination in violation of a local statute prohibiting discrimination against tenants on the basis of children. The case is pending and the claimants continue to demand in excess of $100,000 to settle. | ||||
